A Summer Wedding at Elmhay park- Orchardleigh Estate

One of my favourite freelancing experiences was working on a vibrant summer wedding at Elmhay Park! I teamed up with the amazing Jane and fellow freelancer Lou from Bohemian Blooms, and we spent three exciting days prepping florals for the ceremony and reception.

The colour palette was bright, bold, and totally summer—everything from cheerful dahlias to pops of orange and pink! We prepped everything at Lou’s flower farm in Faulkland, Somerset, which was a dream—surrounded by flowers, fresh air, and tons of creativity and of course her two very cute pooches.

It was a jam-packed few days, but such a fun way to learn from the best in the biz. I even got the honour of putting together all the bridesmaids’ bouquet.

It was amazing to be thrown into the deep end and come out with a full heart and even more love for floristry.

The florals turned out stunning, and it was such a joy to be part of a wedding that was as colourful and full of life as summer itself!
